STORY
Why we exist
This church stands on a long story of Christian faith in Fareham. For over a thousand years, people have gathered here to worship, pray, and seek God. From the earliest mission in this region to the life of the parish today, this place has always been about one thing: helping people know Jesus.
Today, Fareham is growing, but many people have little connection to church or faith. Younger generations, families, and those exploring life’s deeper questions are often unengaged or unsure where to begin. At the same time, we carry a deep conviction that the gospel is still good news for every person in this town.
That is why we are planting and renewing this church.
We are building a church where anyone can come and explore faith, where people are formed as disciples of Jesus, and where the life of the church connects with everyday life. We want to honour what God has done here in the past, while stepping forward in mission for this generation.
This is a church for Fareham today - and for the generations to come.
St Peter and St Paul is an Anglican church with both traditional and charismatic evangelical parts in the heart of the Fareham community. We are a group of people passionate about following Jesus, learning from his word, and knowing the touch of his Holy Spirit.
We have two service styles, traditional and modern.
Vision and Values
St Peter and St Paul is a church committed to both Word and Spirit, and we feel called to be:

Overflowing into Fareham by mission and planting.
Loving
Our loving is beyond a nice sentiment, as we seek to be pilgrims of The Way in three distinct directions: up, in and out.
Up: Loving God through worship
In: Loving each other through nurturing relationships
Out: Loving our community through serving and outreach
Growing
Living things naturally grow. So we expect to see new life and growth in our vibrant community and will actively seek to facilitate this through:

Training and teaching the things of the Spirit
Discipling each other through joining in with small groups
Overflowing
We feel a specific call to be a missional church-planting church, with new ventures envisaged over the next few years in Welborne Garden Village and beyond. We are committed to:

Our Beliefs
The Bible: We believe the Bible is God’s word, inspired and trustworthy, and the final authority for what we believe and how we live.
God: We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died for our sins, and rose again. Through him, we are forgiven and brought into a new relationship with God.
Salvation: We believe we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This is a gift from God, not something we earn.
The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer, bringing new life, shaping our character, and empowering us for service and mission.
The Church: We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, build one another up, and make disciples of all nations.
The Future Hope: We believe Jesus will return, God will renew all things, and those who trust in Christ will share in eternal life with him.
