I’m New
Welcome
We're really glad you're thinking of joining us. St Peter and St Paul Church is a family-friendly church in the heart of Fareham, and whether you've never set foot in a church before or you're just looking for a new church home, there's a place for you here.
This page covers everything you need to know before your first visit - what time to come, what to expect, where to park, and who to look out for when you arrive.
When to come
We have two Sunday services:
Every Sunday, at 9:30 am - Communion with Hymns. A quieter, more traditional service with hymns and Holy Communion. It lasts about an hour.
Every 2nd Sunday of the Month, at 6:30 pm - Prayer and Worship meeting. A modern approach.
-
Come as you are - there's no dress code. Most people dress casually.
You don't need to know when to stand, sit, or say anything. Just follow along, or simply sit and take it in. Our service leaders always give a heads-up (e.g. "please stand if you're able"), and the words to songs and readings are shown on screens around the church.
If you'd rather not take communion, that's completely fine; just stay seated, or come forward with your arms crossed for a blessing instead.
-
Children are always welcome in the main service.
